The Basics
Warriors are the most physically strongest out of the four classes you can choose in MapleStory. But to better show comparison, we've included a nice Pros and Cons chart.
Pros
Warriors have the highest amount of HP.
Warriors can kill massive amounts of monsters at once.
Their Third Job Skills are extremely flashy.
Warriors at first, have a large amount of damage.
Cons
Warriors are melee characters, they can not attack far away.
Warriors have the least amount of Mana in the entire game.
Warriors consume a large amount of Health Potions to make sure they don't die.
When you reach third job, warriors are known to have the least amount of damage of the four jobs.
You must know that Warriors, like all other jobs, will require many hours of training, leveling, and more in order to be number one. Many will happen, but this guide will help make sure that you won't make a mistake![/glow]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Starting Up
MapleStory has an alternative way to obtain your first job. Unlike most MMORPGs, MapleStory doesn't allow you to choose your first job at level 1. Also, you must follow a specific method in order for you to get the best out of your character.
When we first start up MapleStory, we'll encounter the Create Character button. What we would like to do is to have the following stats.
STR: XX
DEX: XX
INT: 4
LUK: 4
The reason is because INT and LUK will never be used for a warrior and the lowest a stat will go is 4. Therefore, we'll maximize the amount of STR and DEX we can get and minimize the amount of INT and LUK. Please know, you must keep rolling the dice until you recieve that combo. It may take up to 20 minutes to complete this. If you're impatient, an INT and LUK of 5 is fine also.
As a Beginner
Now that you're a beginner, you can start training by attacking snails that are found all over. As you level up, you will gain 5 AP. These points should be spent only on STR and DEX. We've come up with a formula to help guide you as to how STR and DEX should go.
DEX should be twice your level, every other skill point should go into STR. For example, if you're level 50, your DEX should be 100. All other points should be in STR.
You should also remain in Maple Island until you reach level 10. At level 10, venture all the way to a city called Southperry and go all the way to the opposite side and talk to Shanks. Shanks will then ask you for 150 mesos and will transport you to Lith Harbor.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Becoming a Swordman
Now that you're in Lith Harbor, in order to become a Swordman you must venture to the dusty city of Perion. In order to go there, you can either follow a path on your World Map or find the ticket booth that is just a little off from the boat you came from.
When you arrive to Perion, go to the highest peak of Perion and enter the portal. Inside, you will find Dances with Balrog. There, you should talk to him and follow his instructions to become a Swordman. Please remember, the following stats are required to become a swordman, but if you followed the guide you should be fine.
You must be level 10.
You must have at least 35 STR.
Now that you're a Swordman, let's begin finding out what your warrior can do.

speaman
Pros
Spears and Polearms, Spearmen's weapons, have long range (longest range of all warriors), thus making slash blast a powerful skill as it can hit more enemies.
Higher MP than Fighters and Pages.
Get Hyper Body, a fantastic party skill.
Slash/Stab, dealing even more damage.
Cons
Lower HP than Fighters and Pages.
One of the slower classes.
Can't equip shields (spears and polearms are 2-handed).
A very large damage range, sometimes bad.
Spears or Polearms
Choosing between spears and pole arms isn't easy. Look below to find pros and cons for each weapon.
Pros - Spears
Usually cheaper than polearms.
Dragon Blood and Buster combined is quite powerful.
Cons - Spears
Only approximately two-fifths (¡Ö40%) of the attacks are stabs, which weakens the spear's usefulness
Pros - Polearms
Approximately Three-fifths (¡Ö60%) of the attacks are slashes, powerful for polearms and can hit more enemies above and below you.
Dragon Fury has less delay than Buster.
Cons - Polearms
Usually more expensive than Spears
Not useful for using Buster, which attacks multiple enemies and hits multiple times.

AP Builds
Every kind of warrior typically has the same kind of build when it comes to stats. Dex should be kept at an absolute minimum, raising it only when you find that you might miss against whatever you're training on. Using things like Sniper Potions or Sniper Pills will increase your accuracy, allowing you to keep your Dex down to a reasonable level. When partying with a Cleric, you no longer need potions or pills, as Clerics have a skill called Bless that will raise your accuracy by 20, as well as some other stats. Your Dex will vary depending on what you're training on at the moment, but your base should never exceed 60-70. The rest of the Dex required to get to an accuracy of 147 will be obtained from various sources, such as scrolled equips and weapon Mastery.
Skill Point Distribution
This is the recommended order in which you should allocate your skill points.
Level 30: Mastery +1 (1)
Levels 31-36: Mastery +18 (19) Leaving Mastery at 19 is intentional, as the final level merely adds an extra point of accuracy with the chosen weapon.
Levels 37-38: Booster +6 (6) This, too, is intentional, as it allows you to have Booster on for a duration of 1 minute.
Levels 39-48: Final Attack +30 (30)
Level 49: Threaten + 3 (3)
Level 50-59: Power Guard +30 (30)
Level 60-65: Threaten +7 (20), Booster +1 (7)
Levels 66-70: Booster +13 (20), Mastery +1 (20), +1 to any first job skill
End Results
20 Mastery
20 Booster
30 Final Attack
30 Power Guard
20 Threaten
+1 To any 1st job skill
Places To Train
30 - 35
Train on Jr. Sentinels for high money and fairly good EXP.
Train on Wild Boars at Land of Wild Boar II for less money, but slightly better EXP.
Land of Wild Boar is also a viable option, however, unless you're using items scrolled for dex, you will have trouble fighting Jr. Boogies.
Evil Eyes in Cave of Evil Eye I and the following maps have the best EXP, but also require more potions. You may end up losing money if you train here.
35 - 40
Train on Chronos for even higher money, good EXP and great drops. The Ludibrium Party Quest is also a great place to get EXP. You could also try Evil Eyes, or even Jr. Kitties (Jr. Cellions, Jr. Lioners and Jr. Grupins) for great EXP.
40 - 50
The Ludibrium PQ is definitely the best place at this level. You can also train on Tobos, Jr. Kitties, Fire Boars and Block Gollems.
Copper Drakes and Cold Eyes are good for training if you're funded.
--->Contrary to the Author's viewpoints that Ludibrium PQ is the best place to level, this applies only if you manage to get in every single time, with little wait time in between each party quest. Ludibrium PQ provides a fun alternative to training, but realistically, it is slower leveling.
50 - 60
Train on Jr. Yetis or Stone Gollems.
You can also train at Drake's Meal Table.
Floor 10 of the EOS Tower is a GREAT place to train. Work your way to the bottom of the area killing everything and then you'll find a TON of bloctopus at the top. And on the plus side, nobody else trains there.
60 - 70
Train on Coolie Zombies.

You must have at least 35 STR.

speaman
